What makes you a Young King?

1. What makes me a Young King is the Black Excellence. The hard work, dedication, the achievements, growth, becoming a leader and a role model in my community. Going through situations which I overcome. The way I express my identity. I know that I can do it, and I will prove that I am better than what I used to be. I strive for excellence.

What are your goals after school?
2. My goals after I finish high school will be going to College and majoring in Biology to become a veterinarian. I am very interested in becoming a mobile veterinarian. I just applied to CSU recently for college because I found that CSU has the best veterinarian program and the pre-vet classes, I am really interested in animals and the fact I can save them. I am volunteering for The Denver Animal Shelter for more experience with the animals. I love volunteering for that organization because I am actually contributing to the animal shelter organization, making it a better environment for them.

How have you changed since becoming a Young King?

3. I have changed a lot in many ways when becoming a Young King. A personal core value I value the most is Growth, because for me growth is a lot for me especially for the things that I struggle with such as stuttering. Stuttering had made me very anti-social in the past because I couldn't speak, but I have grown from that. This has made me realize that I can overcome situations that are very hard to overcome. The Crowley Foundation has helped me express my stutter and made me develop A LOT of confidence in speaking! I have developed strategies that I have learned after becoming a Young King. One strategy I learned was meditating. Meditating is very good for my body, in many ways such as relaxing my body and calming myself down. Another strategy is focusing on my health and I learned what I should/am putting in my body.

What do you want people to know about you?

4. I would like people to know that I won't ever give up. I am driven to accomplish whatever is on my mind. This is my story.

What makes you a Young King?

A young king is not just anyone or anybody, a young king is someone who puts their self in front of a group and lead, a young king is someone who works for what they want. I am a YOUNG KING because I will not give up on my people or myself. I am ready to lead whenever and wherever me as a young king sets my kingdom up for greatness. My kingdom grows with the king that around as a young king I am a Self-loved millionaire.

What are your goals after school?

I just started my freshman year of college at Community College of Denver studying applied science of cannabis business, with this degree I hope to open my first BLACK owned dispensary and not stop from there, I want my cannabis that I sell to help the sick the people who really actually need it, I plan on starting my own Non-profit speaking for young entrepreneurs just to make sure as young men and woman we build the connection that can last us a lifetime, skills and attributes that will work anywhere like the Crowley Foundation.

How have you changed since becoming a Young King?

Before the Crowley Foundation I was angry with the people in my life because I wanted them to notice my change, or I would want them to change. The Crowley Foundation gave me a support system but not only that the tools I needed to be successful, such as self-love, The law of lease effort and a way to talk to people or confront my issues in the right way. With being at the Crowley foundation I had people like Jasiri who were their when I was trying to figure out who I am and why I think the way I do, and Church who was them to tell me stop worrying about other people or in his word “You cannot change other people point of view, don’t waste time trying.” With both mentors they help me accomplish an understanding of family and that no matter the barriers in front, no matter the people that surround me, if nor sickness nor pain of brain can turn me away from the thing that I want if dogged and grimed ill besiege and beset it.

What do you want people to know about you?

I am Darrion Lamon Denzmore Jr. the first in my dad’s family to graduate Highschool, I am the future 3rd or 4th black millionaire of Colorado, I am Strong for other and myself, I am loved and I will give love, I am an ambassador for the Crowley foundation and I support the Crowley mission.
